Tomoko Nago: Mezzo-Soprano
Lyric mezzo-soprano Tomoko Nago is excited to sing the role of Ruggiero in Handel’s Alcina at Symphony Space with New York Lyric Opera on May 2nd, 2015.
In April 2015, Ms. Nago sang the title role in Handel’s Ariodante in April 2015 with New York Opera Forum.
During 2014-2015 season, Ms. Nago has performed the roles of Smeton in Donizetti’s Anna Bolena, Goffredo in Handel’s Rinaldo, Berta in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Suzuki in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly.
Her other roles include Hansel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, Cherubino in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Second Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Tisbe in Rossini’s La Cenerentola, Zulma in Rossini’s L’italiana in Algeri, Ruggiero in Handel’s Alcina, Goffredo/Eustazio in Handel’s Rinaldo and Polinesso in Handel’s Ariodante.
